2020 reservations and waitlist are full/closed. If you are interested in placing a reservation for Spring 2021 or have questions please let me know.
Reservations can be requested by emailing LittleRedHouseFarm@gmail.com or using the "Contact Us" form at the bottom of the Home page. Upon confirmation of a reservation, a $50 deposit is required within 3 days or the goat will be made available again. Remaining balance is due in full within two weeks of kid being born or adult being ready. We accept Paypal, cash or cashiers check. The deposit is non-refundable unless we are unable to provide the chosen animal. Whether through breeder retention (we reserve the right to retain any animal), the kid is simply not born, or in the highly unlikely case the animal should die before leaving our farm. Refunds are not issued for a change of mind or disapproval of coloring. A paid reservation will be considered agreement to these terms. To add your name to the "New Arrivals Waiting List" is free of charge and can also be done through email. You will be notified of any available kids once all reservations have been filled for each kidding.
Prices are determined through evaluation of kids and how each parent has proven themselves. Consisting of, but not limited to, milk stars and production records, champion wins, linear appraisal scores and the sire's proven doe prodigy. Base price for breeding stock is $350 and built upon from there, wethers are $150 with discounts for multiple (see below).
We only sell our goats to homes who currently have goats or are purchasing at least two from us. If purchasing a wether alongside a doe or another wether a discount of $25/wether will be applied. A $25 discount will be applied to any registered goats being sold to homes currently participating in DHI, LA performance programs, 4-H, or actively showing in ADGA sanctioned shows. ($50 discount to those participating in 3 or more of these).
All new kids (with the exception of wethers) will come with signed registration papers, it is the buyers responsibility to submit these to ADGA for ownership transfer. If paid in full before 2 weeks of age buyer may choose registered name following these guidelines:
Must consist of 14 characters or less including spaces.
Must relate to the theme of the dam's name.
Must be approved by Little RedHouse Farm, as our name will be permanently attatched to this name.
All kids will be tattooed, disbudded, current on CDT vaccinations and Cocci prevention. Wethers will be banded or on contract that buyer will have them banded (at buyers expense) or brought back to be banded (for no extra charge) once reaching a maturity level agreed upon prior to leaving, usually 12-16 weeks.
Most kids will be bottle raised and ready for their new home as early as 3 weeks if evaluated as ready and buyer agrees to continue bottle feeding until a minimum of 8 weeks. If a reservation is placed, kids must be paid in full and picked up by 8-12 weeks of age as we determine. If no pick up arrangements have been made by the date we determine the kid ready, or you need a bit more time to prepare, a $3/day boarding fee will be added to the cost up to a maximum of 3 weeks. At which time the sales contract will be void, any payments made will be forfeited to Little RedHouse Farm and the kids will become available again.
We will always do our best to ensure happy and healthy goats are leaving our farm on pick up day. Buyer may request a vet check prior to leaving at buyer's expense. We will include some basic care guidelines and be available for any and all questions in those first few days and beyond. We are excited to welcome you, if a new goat owner, to a wonderful, caring, and helpful goat community. Once the animal has left our farm we can make no guarantees/warranties and there will be no refunds issued.
If buyer ever decides to sell their Little RedHouse Farm breeding stock we request first right of refusal.
