If you are interested in placing a future reservation or have any other questions, please feel free to reach out
Reservations can be requested by emailing LittleRedHouseFarm@gmail.com or using the "Contact Us" form at the bottom of the Home page. Upon confirmation of a reservation, a $50 ($100 for kids already born and adults) deposit is required within 2 days or the goat will be made available again. Once born (or adult ready) half the purchase price is required to hold the animal with remaining balance due in full prior to registration or leaving the farm. We accept Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or cash. But please be aware that any fees from these options will be the responsibility of the buyer. The deposit is non-refundable but can be rolled over or transferred to another animal. A paid reservation will be considered agreement to these terms. To add your name to the "New Arrivals Waiting List" is free of charge and can also be done through email. You will be notified of any available kids once all reservations have been filled for each kidding season.
*I reserve the right to purchase up to 10 straws of semen back from Little RedHouse buck kids sold at the cost of collection.
Prices are determined through evaluation of kids and how each parent has proven themselves. Consisting of, but not limited to, milk stars and production records, champion wins, linear appraisal scores and the sire's proven doe progeny. Base price for breeding stock is $500 and built upon from there, wethers are $200.
We only sell our goats to homes who currently have goats or are purchasing at least two from us. A $50 discount will be applied to any registered goat kids being sold to homes currently participating in DHI, LA performance programs, 4-H, or actively showing in ADGA sanctioned shows. (potential larger discounts on adults).
All new kids (with the exception of wethers) will come with signed registration papers, it is the buyers responsibility to submit these to ADGA for ownership transfer. If paid in full before 2 weeks of age buyer may choose registered name following these guidelines:
Must consist of 14 characters or less including spaces.
Must relate to the theme of the dam's name.
Must be approved by Little RedHouse Farm, as our name will be permanently attached to this name.
All kids will be tattooed, disbudded, current on CDT vaccinations and Cocci prevention. Wethers will be banded or on contract that buyer will have them banded (at buyers expense) or brought back to be banded (for no extra charge) once reaching a maturity level agreed upon prior to leaving, usually 12-16 weeks.
***New for 2024***
Buyer has the option of having their animal microchipped for an added fee of $15.
We will work with transport, but reserve the right to refuse to send the animal upon pickup if we do not feel the animal will be safe or well cared for while in the possession of the transporter, and buyer will need to make new accommodations.
We are able to airship out of Sea-Tac using Delta or Alaska within their guidelines.
All shipping costs, including individual cost of kid, airport travel expense, Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and any related testing needed, shipping crate and shipping fees are to be paid in full by the buyer prior to time of shipping.
Most kids will be bottle raised and ready for their new home as early as 3 weeks if evaluated as ready and buyer agrees to continue bottle feeding until a minmimum of 8 weeks. If a reservation is placed, kids must be paid in full and picked up by 8-12 weeks of age as we determine. If no pick up arrangements have been made by the date we determine the kid ready, or you need a bit more time to prepare, a $5/day boarding fee will be added to the cost up to a maximum of 3 weeks. At which time the sales contract will be void, any payments made will be forfeited to Little RedHouse Farm and the kids will become available again.
We will always do our best to ensure happy and healthy goats are leaving our farm on pick up day. Buyer may request a vet check prior to leaving at buyer's expense. We will include some basic care guidelines and be available for any and all questions in those first few days and beyond. We are excited to welcome you, if a new goat owner, to a wonderful, caring, and helpful goat community. Once the animal has left our farm we can make no guarantees/warranties and there will be no refunds issued. *Should an animal we sold for breeding purposes who has been well cared for with documentation, prove unable to reproduce (hermaphrodite, free Martin, extra teats, sterile bucks) within the first two years of life or develop carpal hyperextension (confirmed by practiced goat veterinarian) before the age of 3 years old we will offer a credit in the amount paid towards a future purchase upon castration (buck) or written guarantee/return of signed papers (doe) that animal will no longer be used for breeding purposes. If the affected animal has already reproduced registered animals, the credit will be 50% of the original purchase price.
If buyer ever decides to sell their Little RedHouse Farm breeding stock we request first right of refusal.
